One could spend several days enjoying any one of these sites or activities... and there's a whole lot more!

Here's a photo of some of the great guys that attended the last gathering in October.
The rest of the warriors were still out on the course finding their last shot :)

Golf was just one of the activities for the last gathering, but the main event was the camaraderie and brotherhood of the 14th Artillery.
If you have not attended one of these great events just ask some of the guys above:
Brothers Richard Schlimme, Ron Lucas, Richard Chrapczynski, Richard Lunt or many others about them,
we know they will tell you... "Be there!"

“What is your major malfunction?”
the gunnery sergeant yelled...
“Do I make you nervous?”

Kabul, Afghanistan (April 17, 2004)

"This isn't a scene out of the popular cult classic war movie Full Metal Jacket", but the one and only R. Lee Ermey and he really is holding that sign. If you were at the 6/14 Reunion 2004 then you had the opportunity of meeting one of our nations finest in the presence of SSG. Robert Ramon (our own Brother Charles Maldonado's nephew!) of Coalition Joint Task Force Phoenix (CJTFP). While on duty at the Afghan National Army’s (ANA) Pol-e-Charki base near Kabul in Afghanistan Robert ask "The Gunney" to send all you Warbonnets the message above... and that's a direct order that stands for all Reunions.

Hump on over to the Stories Page and fall in for more details of R. Lee Ermey's visit along with some excellent photos with the troops. Stand right along side our nation's brightest and bravest as Ermey signs autographs, fires a few weapons and shakes a few hands, but don't stand too close Brother, The Gunney is known to go straight for the throat... "Right Robert !"

Reunion 2006
The Reunion for 2006 is scheduled to take place at Lawton Oklahoma's famous Fort Sill some time around June, but that is not zeroed in and confirmed at this time. We will do our best to keep you informed as we can dig up the information.

This is not specifically a 6/14 reunion but it is being organized by men who served with the 6/14 and were members of the 6th Battalion 14th Artillery Regiment Association which has been reorganized and redesignated as The 14th Field Artillery Regiment Association. Reunion 2006 will be the first reunion organized by the newly formed association which is open to all men and women who have served with or who are currently serving with any unit of the 14th Field Artillery i.e. the 1/14th, 2/14th, 3/14th, etc.
Read what they have to say at the new association website:

Reunion 2004
As you read on the homepage a lot was discussed and decided on in San Antonio during the 2004 Reunion, June 10-13 . It was proposed, motioned, discussed, voted on and passed that there is formed a new and comprehensive association which is now know as:
The 14th Field Artillery Regiment Association
Here is what the new website has to say:

ORGANIZATION AND OFFICERS

D.R. (Bob) Hamilton was elected as President of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment association during the reunion 2004 in San Antonio. Elected to the Board along with Hamilton was Charles Maldonado-Vice President, Roy Huff-Treasurer, Barney Rouse-Secretary.

A constitution and by-laws will be forthcoming to establish the association as a non-profit organization and to ensure continued existence in the future.

The purpose of the Association is to constitute an organization to bring together veterans who have served with or who are serving in any unit of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment, any predecessor unit of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment, and any successor units that may be formed from the 14th Field Artillery Regiment.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION:

        a. To honor the comrades in arms who have served and to honor those who have sacrificed their lives while serving in any unit of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment.

       b. To preserve and strengthen the camaraderie that has existed while serving with the 14 Field Artillery Regiment by conducting reunions and other appropriate activities as determined by the membership and board of officers.

        c. To proclaim and publish the traditions, honors and achievements of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment.

        d. To support the soldiers serving in any active duty unit of the 14th Field Artillery Regiment.

        e. To sponsor or provide the membership with other benefits and activities that are normally available to associations and which are consistent with the purpose and objectives listed above.

The establishment of membership dues is necessary to provide funding support of the association. Examples of funding are: mailing & postal fees, purchase of memorabilia, funding of charitable events. Money collected will be maintained by the Treasurer in a banking facility in San Antonio, Texas. Annual monetary reports will be published to this website. Upon recommendations of the board of officers, expenditure of funds will be presented to the president of the association for approval.

There is a lot more information about the new association and it's website so hump on down the internet a few more "klicks" and visit:
